The Wellbeing group runs over consecutive weeks in the evenings and daytime. If you want to learn better ways to handle common problems such as anxiety, depression, poor sleep, stress and panic attacks then come along to the Wellbeing group. This is not a group therapy – so you do not have to talk about your problems in front of others, if you don`t want to.
Low mood, anxiety, worry, stress and panic can affect many people at different times in their lives. This course uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based techniques to gain an understanding of what depression and anxiety are, and how they are maintained. There will be two practitioners teaching you how CBT looks at how your thoughts, physical feelings, emotions and behaviours are all interlinked and have an impact on each other. CBT uses practical strategies to help you make changes which are more balanced and realistic and could help maintain progress towards long-term recovery.
